The Canadian Dollar (CAD) is trading near its estimated fair value against the US Dollar (USD), showing little movement in recent sessions. According to FX Street, strategists from Scotiabank, Shaun Osborne and Eric Theoret, report that the CAD remains effectively flat versus the USD, hovering around the 1.3970 to 1.40 range.

While the currency pair remains stable, the Canadian Dollar has modestly outperformed other major currencies in the foreign exchange market. This suggests a relative strength in the CAD amid broader currency fluctuations, although no significant directional moves are currently expected.

For Japanese investors, monitoring the CAD’s steadiness is relevant as it may influence commodity-linked assets and cross-border trade exposures, especially given Japan’s interest in North American markets and resource imports.
