China Literature has opened its intellectual property library to solo AI creators, fueling significant growth in its short dramas and animated microdramas during the first half of 2026. According to KrASIA, revenue from these formats reached RMB 430 million (USD 64.4 million), more than tripling compared to the same period a year earlier.

The company’s animated microdramas have attracted substantial viewership, with 660 titles surpassing ten million views and 107 exceeding 100 million views. This surge was highlighted at the 2026 Yuewen Creation Conference, underscoring the rising popularity of short-form and AI-assisted content in China’s entertainment sector.

For Japanese investors and market watchers, China Literature’s success reflects broader trends in digital content monetization and AI integration, areas increasingly influencing media valuations across Asia’s equity and tech sectors.
