China Unicom and Huawei have collaborated to deploy a dedicated 5G-Advanced network for the second World Humanoid Robot Games held in Beijing. According to KrASIA, the event opened on August 22 at the National Speed Skating Oval and will continue through August 26, showcasing the latest in robotics and network technology.

The competition features 2,056 humanoid robots from 666 teams competing in 1,301 sessions across 51 events, a significant increase from the 26 events at the inaugural games. This expansion highlights the growing scale and complexity of humanoid robotics competitions in China, supported by cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure.
