Cloudflare has rolled out new granular AI bot controls that enable website owners to manage Search, Training, and Agent bots independently. This update gives site operators more precise control over how different AI bots interact with their sites.
According to The Decoder, starting September 15, 2026, Training and Agent bots will be blocked by default on ad-supported pages. This move aims to protect the revenue and user experience of sites that rely on advertising by limiting certain AI bot activities.
For Japanese markets, where digital advertising and AI integration continue to expand rapidly, Cloudflare’s update offers a timely tool for better managing AI-driven traffic and safeguarding advertising effectiveness.
