Gold prices edged lower near $4,365 during the early Asian session on Tuesday as markets priced in the likelihood of further US Federal Reserve monetary tightening, FX Street reported. This sentiment weighed on precious metals, reflecting concerns over higher interest rates.

The New Zealand Dollar also extended its decline for a second consecutive session, slipping 0.13% to trade at 0.5717 following last week’s Fed rate hike and hawkish comments from Fed officials on Monday, according to FX Street. Similarly, the British Pound stalled just below 1.3400 against the US Dollar over the past three sessions amid growing bets on an October rate increase by the Fed.

For Japanese investors, these movements highlight the ongoing global impact of US monetary policy shifts, which continue to influence currency valuations and asset prices across FX and commodities markets.
