Google has introduced three new models in its Gemini Flash series, including the 3.6 Flash and a specialized cybersecurity model, according to The Decoder. The 3.6 Flash model is noted for its improved efficiency, reportedly using up to 65 percent fewer tokens, which could significantly reduce operational costs and processing time.
The cybersecurity model is designed exclusively for governments and select partners, highlighting Google's targeted approach to secure AI applications. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Gemini 3.5 Pro flagship model is still under development and has not yet been released.
This expansion of Google's Gemini lineup follows ongoing developments from competitors such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and various Chinese labs, underscoring an intensifying AI race. For Japanese markets, these advancements may influence AI-driven trading strategies and cybersecurity measures within FX, crypto, and equities sectors.
