OpenAI is introducing a new feature called 'Health in ChatGPT' for U.S. users, aiming to provide improved health advice to paying subscribers through a more advanced AI model. According to The Decoder, this service connects with Apple Health, medical records, and wellness apps to deliver personalized health insights.
The Decoder also reported that over 300 million people ask ChatGPT health-related questions each week. Paying subscribers receive responses powered by the more capable GPT-5.6 Sol model, while free users continue to access the less powerful GPT-5.5 Instant version.
This development highlights growing demand for AI-driven health support, a trend that could influence how Japanese markets integrate AI tools in healthcare and wellness sectors moving forward.
