OpenAI has entered a 20-year lease agreement for an 8-gigawatt data center located in Ohio, according to The Decoder. This move underlines the company's commitment to expanding its AI infrastructure significantly.

As part of the deal, Nvidia will act as the exclusive chip supplier and guarantee up to $105 billion for the residual value of the facilities, The Decoder reported. This partnership highlights Nvidia’s pivotal role in supporting large-scale AI deployments.

Additionally, the Wall Street Journal notes that nine major tech companies have collectively committed around $3 trillion toward AI projects, investments not yet reflected on their balance sheets. For Japanese markets, this signals growing global capital allocation toward AI infrastructure, potentially influencing related equities and semiconductor demand in the region.
