Sakana AI has rolled out an update to its Fugu Ultra AI router, advancing the software to version 1.1. According to The Decoder, this new version boasts performance gains of up to 7.9 points compared to the previous v1.0 release.
In addition to improved performance, Fugu Ultra v1.1 introduces a new endpoint compatible with Claude Code, expanding its integration capabilities. However, The Decoder also notes that the service remains unavailable within the European Union, limiting its current geographic reach.
Interestingly, Sakana AI claims that Fugu Ultra v1.1 outperforms Fable 5, despite not including Fable 5 in the evaluation pool.
