The Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Singapore Exchange are rolling out initiatives aimed at drawing technology company listings during the ongoing global AI boom. This move reflects growing regional interest in capitalizing on the tech sector’s expansion.

According to KrASIA, the Stock Exchange of Thailand recorded only one IPO in the first half of 2026, raising USD 10.4 million, while the Singapore Exchange saw five share flotations raising a combined USD 1.05 billion. Across the Asia Pacific region, EY reported a total of 247 IPOs raising USD 47 billion during the same period.

For Japanese investors, these developments highlight the increasing dynamism in Southeast Asian markets, which could offer new opportunities amid Japan’s own evolving tech and equity landscapes.
