Unstoppable Domains has decided to cancel its $2 million initiative aimed at integrating .crypto and .bitcoin domain extensions into the traditional internet infrastructure. This move halts efforts to make blockchain-based domains more accessible through standard web browsers, according to CoinDesk.
The company had planned to bridge decentralized domain names with the conventional Domain Name System (DNS), potentially simplifying crypto-related web navigation for everyday users. However, the project has now been shelved, reflecting challenges in merging blockchain domains with existing internet protocols.
