Visa and South Korean blockchain firm Dunamu have announced a collaboration to explore the use of stablecoins in payments and remittance services. Their joint efforts include evaluating various projects, among them the Open Standard’s proposed OUSD stablecoin, according to CoinTelegraph.

This partnership aims to leverage blockchain technology to enhance cross-border payment solutions, potentially offering faster and more cost-effective alternatives to traditional methods.

Given Japan’s active role in fintech innovation and growing interest in digital currencies, this collaboration could signal further developments in the regional adoption of stablecoins within payments and remittance markets.
