The Australian Dollar strengthened against the Japanese Yen, reaching approximately 114.30 during the European trading session on Wednesday, according to FX Street. This marks a gain of 0.13% as traders priced in the possibility of an earlier interest rate hike by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).

Derek Halpenny from MUFG highlighted that the August RBA minutes, coupled with stronger-than-expected monthly inflation data, have increased the likelihood of a rate increase happening sooner than currently anticipated by the market, FX Street reported.

For Japanese investors and traders, movements in the AUD/JPY pair are closely watched given the broader implications for carry trades and risk sentiment in the region’s FX market.
