Black Forest Labs has introduced FLUX 3 Image Klein, an open-weights image generation model featuring 5.6 billion parameters. According to The Decoder, this new model requires 38 percent fewer parameters than its predecessor, enabling it to run efficiently on consumer GPUs with just 8 GB of VRAM.
The FLUX 3 Image Klein supports advanced capabilities such as native 4K image generation and pixel-precise editing. It can also generate images using up to ten reference inputs, demonstrating improved versatility and performance compared to proprietary competitors in internal testing.
This release is significant for the Japanese market, where efficient AI models compatible with widely available hardware can accelerate adoption in creative industries, including digital art and design, which are rapidly evolving sectors in Japan's tech landscape.
