Deepseek is planning to establish the largest known Huawei chip cluster by deploying 160,000 Ascend-950DT processors in a data center located in Inner Mongolia. This cluster is intended exclusively for AI inference workloads, according to The Decoder.

The Decoder also reported that Huawei is currently facing production bottlenecks, which could delay delivery of these processors for over a year. Despite this, the scale of the planned deployment marks a significant milestone in Huawei’s chip utilization.

For Japanese markets, this development highlights the growing demand for high-performance AI infrastructure in Asia, a trend that could influence investment and technology strategies in the region’s FX, crypto, and equities sectors.
