Wallets connected to the $295 million Drift hack in April have transferred $109 million worth of Ether to the Tornado Cash mixer over a span of two days. This move is part of ongoing efforts to obscure the origin of the stolen funds.
According to CoinTelegraph, these wallets still held $138 million in Ether after sending an additional $46 million to the mixer on Wednesday. The use of Tornado Cash indicates a continued attempt to launder the hacked assets through privacy-focused services.
For Japanese investors, this highlights the growing challenges in tracking illicit crypto flows, underscoring the importance of robust compliance frameworks in the evolving digital asset market.
