ING FX Strategist Francesco Pesole has indicated that the EUR/USD exchange rate should be trading above the 1.140 level, based on the bank’s internal models. According to FX Street, Pesole views the recent weakness in the Euro as somewhat excessive.

The strategist highlighted that key factors influencing the currency pair include September’s Eurozone inflation data and communication from the European Central Bank (ECB). These elements are expected to drive future movements in the EUR/USD rate.

For Japanese investors, understanding these dynamics is important as shifts in EUR/USD can impact global currency markets and influence trading strategies in FX and equities linked to Europe.
