The Malaysian Ringgit weakened against the US Dollar during Thursday’s Asian session, with USD/MYR briefly trading above 4.10 in an orderly move, driven by a firmer US Dollar and rising US Treasury yields following the latest FOMC meeting, according to FX Street (OCBC).
Meanwhile, the Euro saw a slight gain versus the US Dollar as EUR/USD extended a modest recovery and attempted to stabilize after the FOMC announcement, FX Street (Scotiabank) reported.
For Japanese investors, these currency movements highlight ongoing volatility in regional FX markets amid shifting US monetary policy expectations, which could influence cross-border trade and investment flows.
