Microsoft has updated its Copilot app by dividing it into three distinct sections: Home, Code, and a newly introduced agent called 'Autopilot,' according to The Decoder. This restructuring aims to streamline user experience and enhance functionality.
The Autopilot agent operates continuously in the cloud, autonomously monitoring Teams channels and completing tasks without manual input, The Decoder reported. This marks a shift towards more proactive AI assistance within Microsoft's ecosystem.
In addition to the app redesign, Microsoft is moving away from flat-rate pricing and its previous AI subsidy model. Instead, usage-based billing will now apply to the Autopilot and Code features, reflecting a trend toward more flexible and scalable pricing models.
