Mind Lab, established in October 2025, has introduced Macaron-V1, a personal agent application developed by a team of over 30 employees with backgrounds from leading AI organizations such as xAI, DeepMind, and DeepSeek, as well as academic institutions including MIT, Tsinghua University, and Duke University, according to KrASIA.
The company’s founder, Andrew Chen, who co-authored the FireAct paper with Shunyu Yao, leads the team alongside Chen Kaijie, known for creating MidReal and launching Macaron, which achieved the top spot on Product Hunt’s daily rankings on its debut day.
This launch highlights the continued momentum of AI innovation in Asia, a trend that Japanese investors and tech firms are closely monitoring as they seek to integrate advanced personal agent technologies into FX, crypto, and equity trading platforms.
