Mistral has launched Robostral Navigate, an advanced robot guidance model boasting 8 billion parameters. According to The Decoder, this model enables robots to navigate unfamiliar environments using only a single RGB camera, marking the company's entry into the robotics market.

The Decoder also reported that Robostral Navigate achieved a 76.6 percent score on the R2R-CE benchmark, demonstrating strong performance. The model was initially trained in simulation and later enhanced through reinforcement learning techniques, specifically CISPO.

While Mistral has not disclosed the release date for Robostral Navigate, this development is notable for Japan’s robotics industry, which continues to seek innovative AI solutions to improve automation and operational efficiency.
