Nio reported robust second-quarter vehicle deliveries, reaching 107,658 units, a 49.4% increase year-on-year and 29% rise quarter-on-quarter, according to KrASIA. The deliveries were split among its brands with 60,945 vehicles under Nio, 29,124 from Onvo, and 17,589 from Firefly.
Looking ahead, Nio expects monthly deliveries to exceed 40,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2023, signaling strong momentum for the company as it targets 40–50% annual sales growth over the medium to long term, KrASIA reported. This guidance reflects the company’s confidence in maintaining rapid expansion amid a competitive EV market.
For Japanese investors and market watchers, Nio’s delivery growth and ambitious sales targets underscore the intensifying competition in the EV sector, which may influence regional supply chains and investor sentiment across Asia’s equity and FX markets.
