The People's Bank of China (PBOC) established the USD/CNY central reference rate at 6.7628 for Wednesday's trading session, marking a slight decline from the previous day's rate of 6.7670, FX Street reported.

This figure also came in above the Reuters estimate of 6.7148, indicating a more conservative approach by the PBOC in setting the midpoint for the yuan against the US dollar.

For Japanese investors, movements in the yuan-dollar exchange rate are closely watched as they can influence regional trade dynamics and impact currency strategies across Asia’s foreign exchange markets.
