The People's Bank of China (PBOC) established the USD/CNY central reference rate at 6.7817 for the upcoming trading session on Friday, marking a slight increase from the previous day's 6.7808, according to FX Street.

This rate also came in above Reuters' earlier estimate of 6.7262, indicating a more modest yuan strengthening than anticipated by some market watchers.

For Japanese investors, the PBOC's steady approach to fixing the yuan's value is a key factor to monitor amid ongoing regional currency movements and their impact on FX and equity markets.
