Shein has successfully cleared a listing hearing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and released its post-hearing information pack on July 26, according to KrASIA. This marks a significant step forward as the company prepares for a potential listing in the first half of August.

Founded in 2012, Shein reported serving approximately 273 million active customers across around 160 markets as of 2025. However, the company’s growth rate has slowed, with its first-quarter expansion dropping to 1.1%, KrASIA noted.

For Japanese investors monitoring global e-commerce trends, Shein’s progress highlights ongoing shifts in international retail markets and the importance of emerging platforms expanding into Asia.
