United Overseas Bank (UOB) analysts continue to hold a downside bias on the USD/CNH currency pair following its recent movement. The pair dipped to 6.7180 and closed near 6.7210, signaling potential further weakness in the US dollar against the Chinese yuan, according to FX Street.

UOB strategists Quek Ser Leang and Lee Sue Ann highlighted that despite the slight rebound to around 6.7210, the overall outlook remains tilted towards a decline. This suggests that pressure on the USD/CNH could persist in the near term.

For Japanese investors, monitoring USD/CNH trends is crucial as fluctuations in the Chinese yuan can have ripple effects on regional trade and currency markets, impacting FX and equities exposure.
