The US Dollar showed strength against several key currencies during the Asian session on Wednesday ahead of the release of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) minutes. According to FX Street, the New Zealand Dollar fell 0.23% to around 0.5609 against the US Dollar, while the AUD/USD pair declined to near 0.6970, ending its three-day winning streak in early Asian trading.

Meanwhile, the US Dollar Index climbed back above the 102.00 level in the last hour of the Asian session, reflecting broad dollar demand. Other notable moves included GBP/USD trading around 1.3250 and USD/JPY reaching approximately 158.35, both figures reported by FX Street during Asian hours on Wednesday.

These moves come amid ongoing speculation about the Federal Reserve's monetary policy direction, with the Bank of Japan's stance contrasting sharply, keeping the yen under pressure. For Japanese investors, the dollar's strength against the yen and other currencies may impact import costs and export competitiveness in the FX and equities markets.
