Several engineers, including Sun Xinyang and Xu Zhou, have left Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng over recent months amid ongoing management shifts and team turnover, according to KrASIA. Sun considered leaving the company this spring due to frequent supervisor changes and team instability.

Xu Zhou noted that nine colleagues departed from Xpeng over a six-month period, with some leaving in the three to four months before his own resignation. The company has experienced almost monthly personnel changes, reflecting a turbulent internal environment.

For Japanese investors and market watchers, such turnover at a leading Chinese EV firm underscores the operational challenges in the sector, which may impact regional supply chains and competitive dynamics in electric vehicle technology.
