Zerohash is making a renewed effort to obtain a trust bank charter from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). This marks the company’s second attempt to secure this regulatory approval, according to CoinDesk.

The OCC charter would allow Zerohash to expand its operations within the crypto sector under a federally recognized banking framework. Gaining this status could enhance Zerohash’s credibility and operational capabilities in the competitive digital asset market.

For Japanese investors and market participants, this move reflects ongoing efforts by crypto firms to align with U.S. regulatory standards, which may influence cross-border investment flows and regulatory expectations in Asia.
