According to The Decoder, when chatbots are trained not to assert consciousness, their perspectives on these issues notably shift.
The Decoder also reported that AI models without such restrictions—referred to as unbraked models—tend to attribute more inner life to animals and are more likely to affirm beliefs in an afterlife.
