OpenAI has finalized a significant power deal with Georgia Power, securing 3.2 gigawatts of electricity for its upcoming data center project named Project Camellia in Georgia. This agreement is set to last through 2032, supporting OpenAI's expanding infrastructure needs, according to The Decoder.
Alongside the power arrangement, OpenAI has committed $80 million to benefit the local community surrounding the new facility. Additionally, the company pledged $71 million in Codex credits aimed at supporting educational initiatives for students, The Decoder reported.
