Slovenia has officially joined the European Union’s MiCA stablecoin register, marking a significant step in the country’s crypto regulation landscape. The electronic money institution Dinaro became the first issuer from Slovenia to be listed under this new framework, according to CoinTelegraph.
The update also included the addition of two new Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs) to the MiCA register, expanding the scope of entities operating under the EU’s comprehensive crypto regulations. This move aligns with the EU’s broader efforts to regulate stablecoins and crypto service providers across member states.
For Japanese investors and market participants, Slovenia’s entry under MiCA highlights the growing regulatory clarity in Europe’s crypto space, which could influence cross-border digital asset flows and compliance standards in international trading.
